En The Gardian se publicó hoy una nota “Internet users could face disconnection for illegal downloads” sobre posibles medidas que el gobierno británico evalúa tomar para evitar la supuesta “piratería”. En concreto, aquellos que descarguen ilegalmente música y películas podrían perder sus conexiones a Internet:
“The Department of Media, Culture and Sport will recommend the plan in a green paper on the creative industries to be published this month, a source with knowledge of the paper said. Under the new sanctions users will face a “three strikes” regime. A warning email will be sent for the first offence, followed by suspension from the service and finally termination of the internet contract.”
En Clarín levantaron la nota hace unos minutos:
“Según el proyecto, que es estudiado por el gobierno, los reincidentes recibirían primero un aviso, luego se les suspendería el servicio y por último se quedarían sin conexión. En el Reino Unido, unas seis millones de personas descargan archivos clandestinamente.”
